Peer Teaching Assignment: Drop your feedback now!

Hi friends,

On behalf of my group members, Yong Chean and You Sheng, we want to say a big ' Thank You!' for being such an attentive audience and for 'lending us your ears'. You have made our first teaching assignment an enjoyable and enriching one.

Having said so, we are very sure there are still many areas of improvement for us. Please feel free to share with us the areas we can keep, stop and improve on. We value your precious feedback in improving our oral communication and presentation!

Do post your lesson feedback as comments to this post. Thank you!

Warmest regards,
Steph :)

PS: Unfortunately, we have run out of mint chocolates ;)

  1. The mint chocolates were cool and I loved them! I also loved how the presenation kicked off with a positive energy(Good Job!). It gave a feel that was a mix between coporate and motivational. Good use of abbreviations and parallel structure made the key points impressionable. However, towards the end, the the presentation started to lose cohesiveness, especially near the portion with the reading excercise. This could be overcome with time management.
The exercise was effective in illustrating the different styles of writing. However, I felt it could have been better for the facilitator to walk the audience through the readings instead, and explaining the context as well as highlighting the key points.
The session is helpful in the writing strategies for application letters and personal statement. I have taken away a something from the lesson.
    Good job guys!

    Cheers!

  2. Well done peeps!

I think the presentation was conducted in a creative manner. IT is obvious that the team has put in a lot of effort and thought in this. The subtle encouragement for us to speak, the cute slides, the 'recruitment agency' and the exercises.

Lack of time and too much to cover, both hamper the deliver but your team managed to pull it off without too much of errors and that was impressive.

    Great work!

  3. Thank you for your presentation! It was really enlightening and I am sure we have picked up a thing or two from it. It was quite creative for the team to use role play in the presentation. The formal attire fits the setting well.

However, a few things that you might want to take note for your future presentation ;)

    1) Consistency of the slides. The slides were quite well prepared however, it is apparent that the slides had different "styles". This is sometimes very confusing for the audience.

    2) Slides. The slides are a little too distracting. I tend to loss focus during the presentation when a wordy slide is projected on the screen.

    3) Activities during the presentation. The first part of the presentation with the "wheel of fortune" was very creative and catchy - a plus point to the presentation. The handouts were a little too long. Maybe shorter examples should be used instead?

If the team has more time, I am sure you would put up an even more superb presentation.

    Thanks for sharing. =)

    Cheers!
